1、 Overview of LKV type normal temperature gas V-cone flowmeter:

Differential pressure flow meters represented by orifice plates, nozzles, and Venturi tubes have dominated the flow field for nearly a century. Although extensive research and improvement have been conducted on them, their inherent structural defects and shortcomings have not been well addressed, and their practical application effects are not ideal. For example, the outflow coefficient is unstable, the linearity is poor, and the repeatability is not high, which affects the accuracy and is not high. The critical part such as the sharp angle at the entrance of the orifice plate is prone to wear, the front part is prone to fouling, the pressure loss is large, and the range (range ratio) is small, especially for the extremely demanding straight pipe section, which is difficult to meet in practical use.

2、 Measurement principle of LKV type V-cone flowmeter for ambient temperature gas:

The principle of V-cone flowmeter is the same as other differential pressure flow meters, and it is also a throttling differential pressure flowmeter, which follows the laws of mass conservation (continuity equation) and energy conservation (Bernoulli equation) of fluid in closed pipelines.

3、 The LKV type ambient temperature gas V-cone flowmeter has the following unique advantages:

1. Has good accuracy (≤ 0.5%) and repeatability (≤ 0.1%).

2. Has a wide range ratio (10:1-15:1)

3. Self rectifying function, therefore only a very short straight pipe section (front 1-3D and back 0-1D) is required.

4. Self cleaning function, capable of detecting dirty and easily scaling fluids, suitable for media with high impurities such as blast furnace gas.

5. The self-protection function ensures that the key parts of the throttle component do not wear out, thus maintaining long-term stable operation.

6. Resistant to high temperature, high pressure, corrosion, and vibration.

7. The types of measurable fluids are very wide (liquid, gas, steam), with a wide flow range (from small flow to large flow), suitable for pipelines (DN15 to DN3000).

4、 Characteristics of LKV type normal temperature gas V-cone flowmeter:
Flow meter accuracy: ± 0.5%, ± 1.0%, ± 1.5%. The system accuracy should refer to the application conditions and the accuracy of the secondary meter.
Good repeatability: better than ± 0.1%
Range width ratio: Normally 10:1, it can be increased if necessary.
Low requirements for straight pipe section: The front 0-3D straight pipe section and the back 0-1D straight pipe section of the flowmeter can ensure measurement accuracy. Experimental results have shown that V-cone flow meters can approach single bent pipes or double bent pipes with different planes with little impact on accuracy.
Good long-term stability: The design of the cone shape ensures that the fluid flows through the cone in a gradual process without sudden changes, and the β value can remain unchanged for a long time. The instrument can be used for a long time without calibration.
Signal stability: All differential pressure flow meters will have "signal fluctuations", which means that even if the fluid is very stable, the signal generated by a throttling element will also fluctuate. For orifice plates, the vortices formed after the throttling element are relatively long, and these long vortices will generate high amplitude and low-frequency fluctuation signals, which will interfere with the reading of the differential pressure gauge. The conical flowmeter will form a small vortex downstream, generating low amplitude and high-frequency fluctuation signals.
Small pressure loss: Due to the absence of protruding baffles, the * * * pressure loss of the conical flowmeter is 3/4 lower than that of the orifice plate.
No retention dead zone: The "blowing" design of the cone does not have a dead zone, so there will be no accumulation of fluid debris, sticky slag or impurities on the cone.
The function of the mixer: The vortex generated downstream of the V-cone flowmeter is a short vortex, which can mix the medium downstream. Therefore, currently, while working as a flowmeter, the V-cone flowmeter can also be used as a static stirrer in many fields, which can quickly and fully stir the medium evenly.
