The working principle of a vibration velocity sensor is based on a primary component that converts mechanical energy into electrical energy. It is composed of two coils fixed on the sensor, with a magnetic steel in the middle connected to the housing through a spring. The magnetic steel moves within the coils, thus generating induced electromotive force. This voltage is proportional to the speed of the casing and is called a speed sensor.

Testing methods for vibration sensors
In the field of engineering vibration testing, there are various testing methods and techniques, but they can be divided into three categories based on the measurement methods of various parameters and the physical properties of the measurement process.
mechanical
The parameters of engineering vibration are converted into mechanical signals, which are then amplified by the mechanical system for measurement and recording. Commonly used instruments include lever type vibration meters and Geiger vibration meters, which can measure lower frequencies and lower accuracy. But it is relatively simple and convenient for on-site testing.
Optical type
Convert the parameters of engineering vibration into optical signals, amplify them through an optical system, and display and record them. Such as reading microscopes and laser vibrometers.

The key point of the electrical measurement method is to first convert the mechanical vibration quantity into electrical quantity (electromotive force, charge, and other electrical quantities), and then measure the electrical quantity to obtain the mechanical quantity to be measured. This is currently a widely used measurement method.
