3、 What are the maintenance and upkeep requirements for a small salt spray testing machine

1. Regularly lubricate the air compressor of the testing machine with lubricating oil;

2. Before restarting the machine for testing if it has not been used for a long time, all electrical systems should be checked first;

3. In case of nozzle dirt blockage, the detachable nozzle shall be cleaned with alcohol, xylene or 1:1 hydrochloric acid, or dredged with ultra-fine steel wire, but attention shall be paid to prevent damage to the surface finish of the nozzle cavity and affect the spray efficiency;

4. Regularly check the function of the air conditioning valve;

5. If the experiment is not conducted for a long time, open the saturator to empty the water, and regularly replace the water stored in the saturator during normal use;

6. If the salt solution used in the experiment has not been used for more than a week, please do not use it again to avoid affecting the test;

7. After the experiment is completed, the box should be kept clean and kept in a dry environment as much as possible;

8. If the electrical components on the control panel of the salt spray testing machine need to be replaced due to malfunction, they should be replaced under the guidance of the manufacturer to avoid any inconvenience;

9. After the experiment is completed, clean the interior of the laboratory and drain the water in the heating water tank.

4、 The necessity of a small salt spray test chamber

1. Corrosion: The destruction or deterioration of materials or their properties under environmental conditions. Most corrosion occurs in the atmosphere, which contains oxygen, humidity, temperature changes, and pollutants.

2. Salt spray: refers to a dispersed system composed of tiny droplets of salt in the atmosphere. It is one of the three major prevention and control series for artificial environments. Many enterprise products need to simulate the damage caused by the climate around the ocean. The salt spray test aims to simulate this phenomenon, so it requires the use of detection equipment - a salt spray testing machine.

3. Salt spray corrosion: It is a common and highly destructive atmospheric corrosion. The corrosion resistance of accelerated corrosion method in simulated seawater environment depends on the duration of corrosion. The salt spray here refers to the chloride in the atmosphere, whose main corrosive component is the chloride salt in the ocean - sodium chloride, which mainly comes from the ocean and inland saline alkali areas. The corrosion of metal surfaces by salt spray is the result of the electrochemical reaction between chloride ions penetrating the oxide and protective layers on the metal surface and the interior of the metal. At the same time, chloride ions contain a certain hydration energy, easily squeezed out pores, adsorbed on metal surface cracks, and replaced oxygen in the chloride layer, turning insoluble oxides into soluble chlorine and making the passive surface active. Causing serious adverse reactions to this product.

4. Artificial simulation of salt spray environment test is a testing equipment with a certain volume space - salt spray test chamber. In its volume space, a salt spray environment is artificially created to evaluate the salt spray corrosion resistance performance of products. Compared with the natural environment, the chloride salt spray environment with salt concentration can be several times or tens of times that of the natural environment, so the corrosion rate is greatly increased and the time to obtain the results of the salt spray test is greatly shortened. If the product sample is tested in a natural exposure environment, its corrosion may take up to a year. But if tested in a simulated salt spray environment, similar results can be obtained in just 24 hours. However, there are still differences between artificial accelerated simulation experiments and natural environments, and they are irreplaceable.
