Smart correction

On August 30, 2016, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuratorate, the Ministry of Public Security, and the Ministry of Justice issued the "Opinions on Further Strengthening the Coordination and Management of Smart Correction Work", which pointed out that for the supervision of smart correction personnel using electronic positioning methods, corresponding technologies should be adopted to prevent "human-machine separation" and improve the effectiveness and safety of supervision and management.

In 2019, the General Office of the Ministry of Justice issued the "Implementation Opinions on Accelerating the Construction of National 'Smart Social Correction'", which pointed out that "using positioning technologies such as Beidou, GPS, WIFI, base stations, and radio frequency identification, we will explore the integration of cross-border technologies such as voice recognition, fingerprint recognition, micro cameras, WeChat applications, and WeChat mini programs into electronic positioning terminals, create a new smart correction intelligent wearable device, and achieve 24/7 accurate positioning and supervision of community inmates", and for the first time include smart wearable terminals in the "List of Information Facilities and Equipment for Smart Correction Work".

On December 28, 2019, the 15th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People's Congress voted to pass the "Smart Correction Law of the People's Republic of China", which will come into effect on July 1, 2020.

IIApplicable Population

The scope of application of smart correction as stipulated by law includes:

1. Those sentenced to control;

2. Those who have been granted probation;

3. Temporarily sentenced to execution outside of prison;

4. Those who have been granted parole.

3、 System architecture
