The snow depth detection sensor is a device that uses the principle of ultrasonic reflection to achieve non-contact snow depth measurement. Its core principle is to emit ultrasonic pulses and receive reflected signals, measure the time difference between the emission and return of sound waves, and accurately calculate the snow depth by combining sound velocity information. The following analysis is conducted from four dimensions: working principle, technical advantages, application scenarios, and typical models: high-frequency ultrasonic pulses (usually 40kHz to 50kHz) are emitted by a transmitter, which propagate through the air to the surface of the snow layer and are reflected before being captured by a receiver. Sensors measure the time difference between the emission and reception of ultrasonic waves, combined with known sound velocity(
Snow depth detection sensorIt is a device that uses the principle of ultrasonic reflection to achieve non-contact snow depth measurement. Its core principle is to emit ultrasonic pulses and receive reflected signals, measure the time difference between the emission and return of sound waves, and accurately calculate snow depth by combining sound velocity information. The sensor calculates the distance from the sensor to the snow surface by measuring the time difference between the transmission and reception of ultrasonic waves, combined with the known sound velocity (which is about 343 meters per second in air and needs to be corrected in real time due to temperature). Subtracting the initial installation height from the real-time measurement distance can obtain an accurate snow depth value. For example, if the sensor is installed at a height of 3 meters and the real-time measurement distance is 2.5 meters, the snow depth is 0.5 meters.
