Brief description of specialized pump for filter press:
The specialized pump for feeding filter press is a type of impurity pump with special performance. In recent years, it has been referred to as the "specialized feed pressure pump for filter presses" by industry insiders. The pump sucks in slurry from the rear side, with simple packing sealing and no leakage. More importantly, its flow and head curves are very steep, making it very suitable for some special working conditions.
Characteristics of specialized pumps for filter presses:
1. Advanced and innovative hydraulic and structural design, high efficiency, abrasion resistance, and stable and reliable operation;
2. High initial feed flow rate and low pressure;
3. The later pressing flow is small and the pressure is high;
4. The shaft seal is simple and reliable, without water injection, mechanical seal, and leakage;
5. Filter feeding does not require variable frequency speed regulation, resulting in high conveying concentration.
Selection of dedicated feed pump for filter press:
The main technical parameters listed for the dedicated feed pump of the filter press are the data at 1480r/min. For working conditions that require low pressure, the impeller can be cut appropriately or the pump speed can be reduced to solve the problem. We can also choose the ZJ series slurry pump produced by our factory. The mechanical seal of the ZJ pump is "leak free" like the ZJW2 pump. Belt transmission methods generally include tailstock, parallel, and back support transmission.
The dedicated pump for the filter press is a pressure inlet suction pump with a small suction stroke. It is recommended that the feed liquid level be higher than the center of the pump. The diameter of the inlet and outlet pipelines is generally the same as or slightly larger than the inlet and outlet diameters of the pump. Due to the high concentration of the slurry, the inlet pipeline of the pump should not be too long to avoid affecting the suction.
The selection of pumps for feeding and pressurizing the filter press is very different from other general conveying pumps. The selection of pumps for general conveying mainly depends on the performance corresponding to a certain point or a short section of the flow and head curve. The working characteristics of the filter press are: the gradual formation of filter cake in the filter chamber increases the feeding resistance, requiring the feeding pump to self filter the small flow and high head in the final stage from the initial high flow and low head. Reflected on the curve, it requires a longer or even more complete flow and head curve, and the steeper the better. In addition to this characteristic, it is also required that the pump operates at high pressure without using shaft seal water and without leakage, creating conditions for the construction of an environmentally friendly factory.
The maximum power loss of the power feeding pump for the dedicated pump configuration of the filter press is in the initial stage of feeding, so it is necessary to calculate in detail the minimum pressure for injecting grout from the feeding pump into the filter press, and then match the power with the flow rate and head of the pump corresponding to this minimum pressure. So accurate and economical.
Due to differences in the actual layout of pressure filtration systems in various factories, when there is significant resistance along the way between the feed pump and the filter (such as being far away from the filter press, having a smaller pipeline diameter, having more bends and gates, or having a higher viscosity of the slurry), it will increase the head loss of the feed pump and reduce the cake pressure. The high moisture content of the filter cake and the prolonged single cycle time greatly reduce the production efficiency of the system, so it is necessary to have a reasonable pipeline configuration.
