When two temperature sensors are placed in the medium in a thermal flowmeter, one sensor is heated to a temperature above the ambient temperature, and the other temperature sensor is used to sense the temperature of the medium. As the flow rate of the medium increases, the heat carried away by the medium also increases. The temperature difference between the two temperature sensors will change with the flow rate of the medium. Based on the proportional relationship between the temperature difference and the flow rate of the medium, the flow rate Q of the fluid can be obtained. Currently, most thermal flow meters are used to measure gases, and only a small number of thermal flow meters are used to measure the flow rate of small liquids.

Installation precautions for split insertion type thermal gas mass flowmeter
1) Avoid installing in areas with significant temperature fluctuations. If the instrument is subjected to strong thermal radiation, insulation and ventilation measures must be taken. (2) Avoid installing flow meters in environments containing corrosive gases under atmospheric conditions. If it is necessary to install them in such environments, ventilation measures must be provided. (3) Although mechanical vibration or impact flow meters have a sturdy structure, they should be installed in places with low vibration or impact. If the flowmeter is installed on a pipeline with high vibration, pipeline support is required. (4) Precautions when installing pipelines: (a) The connecting bolts of the pipeline should be tightened. (b) There is no leakage at the pipeline connection. (c) The applied pressure cannot exceed the specified maximum working pressure. (d) Do not tighten the flange mounting bolts when the component is under pressure. (e) When measuring harmful gases, it is important not to inhale the gas. (f) When installing plug-in connections, the connection should be sealed with sealant to prevent leakage. (g) Plug in installation connection. When there is pressure inside the pipeline, attention should be paid to preventing the flow meter from flying out. If pressure installation is necessary, it is recommended to choose online plug-in connection; (h) When inserting and removing the flowmeter, please be sure not to let the two probes touch the pipe wall or ball valve;
