The sleeve type pipe joint consists of three parts: the joint body, the sleeve, and the nut. When the card sleeve and nut sleeve are inserted into the joint body on the steel pipe and the nut is tightened, the outer side of the front end of the card sleeve is in contact with the conical surface of the joint body, and the inner blade is evenly bitten into the seamless steel pipe, forming an effective seal. The card sleeve joint has the characteristics of corrosion resistance, high pressure resistance, simple installation, and durability.

The working principle of the card sleeve joint is to insert the steel pipe into the card sleeve, lock it with the card sleeve nut, resist the card sleeve, and cut into the pipe to seal it. It does not require welding when connected to steel pipes, which is beneficial for fire prevention, explosion prevention, and high-altitude operations, and can eliminate the drawbacks caused by careless welding. Therefore, it is a relatively advanced connecting component in the pipeline of automatic control devices in refining, chemical, petroleum, natural gas, food, pharmaceutical, instrumentation and other systems. Suitable for connecting pipelines such as oil, gas, and water.

Installation of:

● Installation
1. Cut off seamless steel pipes of appropriate length and remove burrs at the ends. The end face of the pipe should be perpendicular to the axis, with an angle tolerance of no more than 0.5 °. If the pipe needs to be bent, the length of the straight section from the end face of the pipe to the bent part must not be less than three times the length of the nut.
Two nuts and clamps are fitted onto the seamless steel pipe. Pay attention to the direction of the nut and sleeve, and do not install them upside down.
Apply lubricating oil to the threads and sleeve of the pre assembled joint body, insert the pipe into the joint body (make sure the pipe is inserted to the bottom), and tighten the nut by hand.
Tighten the nut until the sleeve grips the pipe, and this turning point can be felt by increasing the tightening torque (pressure point).
After reaching the pressure point, tighten the compression nut by 1/2 turn.
6. Remove the pre assembled joint body and check the embedding of the blade edge of the card sleeve. The visible protrusion must fill the space on the end face of the card sleeve. The card sleeve can rotate slightly, but cannot move axially.
7. For final installation, apply lubricating oil to the threads of the joint body during actual installation, tighten the nut and tighten it until the noticeable tightening force increases Then tighten another 1/2 turn to complete the installation.
● Repeated installation
All card sleeve connectors can be reinstalled multiple times, but it is important to ensure that the parts are undamaged and clean.
Insert the pipe into the joint body until the sleeve fits snugly against the conical surface of the joint body, and tighten the nut by hand.
Tighten the nut with a wrench until the tightening torque increases sharply, then tighten it by 1/4 to 1/2 turn.
● Inspection
Disassemble the pipe to check if the assembly meets the requirements: there should be a uniform slight protrusion on the pipe at the end of the sleeve. The card sleeve cannot slide back and forth, but slight rotation is allowed.
● Reasons for leakage
The pipe is not fully inserted.
The two nuts are not tightened.
3. Scratches on the surface of the pipe or the pipe is not round.
