Safe product selection:
Please make sure to review all product catalog contents to ensure safe product selection for system designers and users. When choosing a product, it is necessary to consider the overall system design to ensure safe and efficient performance. Function, material compatibility, sufficient ratings, correct installation, use, and maintenance are important responsibilities of system designers and users.
Warning: Do not mix/interchange products or components that do not comply with industrial design standards, including tube fitting end connections, with products or components from other manufacturers.
Part number: SS-43GS4
The 40 series one-piece instrument ball valve has been reliably operating in multiple industries for nearly 40 years. Swagelock has improved the structure of valves and developed innovative assembly processes. The result is the 40G series ball valve, which has a larger operating temperature rating, higher thermal cycling capability, and lower leakage probability.
40G series and 40 series ■ Switch, toggle, cross conversion flow path ■ Working pressure up to 3000 PSI (206 bar) ■ Temperature range from -53 to 148 ° C (-65 to 300 ° F) ■ Environmental and heating process applications ■ 1/16 to 3/4 in. and 3 to 12 mm end connected integrated instrument ball valves 40G and 40 series integrated instrument ball valves 395 ball valves/plug valves. Both the original Swagelok 40 series and the latest 40G series valves can be applied to a variety of actuators, flow paths, and handle options, while making it easy to perform online packing adjustments. Important information about Swagelok instrument ball valves - Swagelok ball valves are designed for fully open or fully closed positions. Valves that have not been tightened for a period of time may have higher initial execution torque. Regular adjustment of valve stem packing is required to extend the service life of the valve and prevent leakage. The user manual will be included with each 40G series and 40 series valve. Each 40G and 40 series valve undergoes nitrogen testing at 1000 PSI (69 bar), and if it is below 1000 PSI (69 bar), it is tested at its rated pressure. The 40 series valve packing must be readjusted for use in situations where the pressure exceeds the test pressure. Refer to page 405 for standard production testing and page 416 for optional production testing. Instrument ball valves exposed to dynamic temperature conditions before installation may lose their initial packing load. Filling adjustments may be necessary. The 41G and 42G series valves require an 8mm deep well sleeve, while the 43G series valves require a 9mm deep well sleeve to adjust the packing bolts. The 41 and 42 series valves require a 3/8 in. open-end wrench; 44 series valves require a 1/2 in. open-end wrench; The 45 series valve requires a 5/8 in. open-end wrench to adjust the packing bolts. The 43 series valve requires a conversion joint to adjust the packing bolt.
