Sleeve type compensator, also known as tube type expansion joint, is a compensation device for thermal fluid pipelines, mainly used as an auxiliary equipment for straight pipelines. Suitable for hot water, steam, and grease media, it compensates for thermal expansion by sliding the outer sleeve through sliding motion. Sleeve type compensator is suitable for medium engineering pressure ≤ 2.5MPa, medium temperature -40 ℃~600 ℃.
The sleeve type compensator adopts a new type of sealing material flexible graphite ring, which has the characteristics of high strength, low friction coefficient (0.04~0.10), no aging, good effect, and easy maintenance. The service life of sleeve type compensators is long, and their fatigue life is equivalent to that of pipelines. The sliding surface has undergone special treatment and has good corrosion resistance in environments such as salt water and salt solutions, which is more than 50 times higher than austenitic stainless steel. At the same time, if the sealing effect weakens due to wear and tear after many years, the flange can be tightened again to enhance the sealing performance. Alternatively, the bolt can be loosened, the pressure ring can be removed, and one or two layers of sealing rings can be installed to tighten the pressure ring and continue to be used.
Sleeve type compensators have no requirements for chloride ion content and are particularly suitable for systems with excessive chloride ions in the medium or surrounding environment. Sleeve type compensators are divided into unidirectional and bidirectional compensation structures. The bidirectional type is characterized by the fact that regardless of which end the medium flows into the compensator, the sliding sleeves at both ends of the compensator always slide freely, achieving bidirectional compensation and increasing the compensation amount. The directly buried sleeve type compensator can be buried underground without the need for maintenance wells during installation, resulting in low engineering costs.
