Thermistor and thermocouple temperature signal isolation transmitter is a hybrid integrated circuit that isolates the thermistor signal according to temperature and converts it into a linear standard signal with temperature. This circuit integrates a set of multi-channel highly isolated DC/DC power supplies, several high-performance signal isolators, thermal resistance linearization, long line compensation, and interference suppression circuits on the same chip. It is particularly suitable for Pt100/Cu50 thermal resistance signal isolation and conversion into standard signals, temperature signal transmission and distortion free remote transmission, and temperature signal acquisition and isolation in industrial field PLC or DCS systems.

Thermal resistance, thermocouple temperature signal isolation transmitterIt is a hybrid integrated circuit that isolates the thermal resistance signal according to temperature and converts it into a linear standard signal with temperature. This circuit integrates a set of multi-channel highly isolated DC/DC power supplies, several high-performance signal isolators, thermal resistance linearization, long line compensation, and interference suppression circuits on the same chip. It is particularly suitable for Pt100/Cu50 thermal resistance signal isolation and conversion into standard signals, temperature signal transmission and distortion free remote transmission, and temperature signal acquisition and isolation in industrial field PLC or DCS systems.

The chip integrates high-efficiency DC-DC internally, which can generate two sets of isolated power supplies to supply power to the internal input amplification circuit, modulation circuit, and output demodulation circuit, conversion circuit, and filtering circuit. The SMD process structure and new technology isolation measures enable the device to achieve triple isolation of 3000VDC input/output for power and signal. And it can meet the requirements of harsh working environments such as industrial wide temperature, humidity, and vibration on site.

Temperature signal isolation transmitterIt is very convenient to use and only requires a few external components to achieve isolated transmission of Pt100 thermistor signals. And it can achieve the function of one in two out and one in four out temperature control signals for industrial sites.

Product calibration
Calibration equipment: one resistance box accurate to 0.01 ohms, one DC power supply, and one 4.5 position multimeter.
Calibration steps:
1. Connect the product according to the application diagram, or install the product onto a pre designed circuit board.
2. Connect the power supply according to the value of the auxiliary power supply; Install and adjust the potentiometer; Output to multimeter.
3. According to the input temperature range, check the division table to obtain the corresponding resistance value range Rlow~Rhigh.
4. Turn on the power and turn it on for 15 minutes.
5. Adjust the resistance of the resistance box to the value equal to Rlow, and adjust the zero potentiometer to output the corresponding output value of zero (e.g. 4mA).
6. Adjust the resistance of the resistance box to the value equal to Rhigh, adjust the amplitude potentiometer to output the corresponding output value at full capacity (e.g. 20mA).
7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 several times to improve output accuracy.
8. Calibration completed.

The ISO Z-W-S/D series isolation transmitter and ISO EM series isolation amplifier can easily achieve one input and multiple outputs of thermal resistance signals.

The principle of the application scheme of single input and multiple output: Connect the signal output by the ISO Z-W-S/D isolated transmitter to the input terminal of the ISO EM isolation amplifier, and the ISO EM isolation amplifier will output a set of signals isolated from the input terminal *, thus achieving the input of one thermal resistance signal and the output of two standard signals isolated from each other. Similarly, by connecting the signal output from the ISO Z-W-S/D isolation transmitter to the input terminals of multiple ISO EM isolation amplifiers, each ISO EM isolation amplifier will output a set of signals that are isolated from the input terminal. This achieves the input of one thermal resistance signal and the output of multiple standard signals that are isolated from each other.

Application solution 1: One thermal resistance signal input, two voltage signal outputs

Implement a Pt100/Cu50 signal input (temperature range 0-150 ℃) using module ISO Z1-W3-P1-O4-S and module ISO EM-U1-P1-O5,

Two isolated voltage signals are output, with one outputting 0~5V XIN and the other outputting 0~10V XIN. The output terminal of module ISO Z1-W3-P1-O4-S is connected to the input terminal of module ISO EM-U1-P1-O5.

Application solution 2: One thermal resistance signal input, two current signal outputs

Implement a Pt100 signal input (temperature range 0-100 ℃) using modules ISO Z1-W2-P1-O1-S and ISO EM-A4-P1-O1,

Two isolated 4-20mA current signals are output. Connect the output terminal of module ISO Z1-W2-P1-O1-S to the input terminal of module ISO EM-A4-P1-O1, and then output a 4-20mA current signal. At the same time, ISO EM-A4-P1-O1 also outputs a set of isolated 4-20mA current signals.
