Overview

The total copper online automatic analyzer is an optical method heavy metal online analyzer designed in accordance with national environmental protection standards. It is used for simultaneous online analysis of multiple heavy metal elements in water quality such as surface water, industrial process water, and industrial wastewater. The measured heavy metal elements include Class I and Class II heavy metal prevention and control projects in the Ministry of Environmental Protection's "Twelfth Five Year Plan" for comprehensive prevention and control of heavy metal pollution.


Product Principle

This study used the sodium diethyldithiocarbamate spectrophotometric method to determine total copper. At high temperatures, various copper compounds in the water sample are oxidized and digested by nitric acid to form divalent copper ions. Under ammonia conditions, copper ions react with sodium diethyldithiocarbamate to form yellow brown complexes. Within the concentration range, the absorbance of the system is proportional to the concentration of copper ions, and the total copper content in the water sample can be determined by spectrophotometry.
