1: On site installation of vortex flowmeter shows "0" or no display

What if the vortex flowmeter continues to display zero? The vortex flowmeter always displays zero. There are many reasons for this situation:

The choice of movement is too large. The maximum range on site cannot reach the minimum range of the vortex flowmeter, so the vortex flowmeter always displays zero. Use a wooden stick or other tool to tap the pipeline section of the flowmeter to see if there is a flow display. If that's the case, it can be basically confirmed that the caliber has been chosen too large, and the factory minimum flow rate of the vortex flowmeter needs to be changed. Try adjusting the minimum flow rate of the flowmeter to the lower limit (provided there is no vibration source on site), otherwise, vibration will affect accurate flow measurement.

During the transportation of the flowmeter, the wires between the sensor and the circuit board became loose until they fell off, and the motherboard was unable to receive signals from the sensor.

The sensor probe of the vortex flowmeter burns out due to high temperature, or the sensor probe is damaged due to other reasons.

It is more likely due to the aforementioned reasons. Suggest contacting the manufacturer based on the situation and returning to the factory for inspection.

2: Vortex flowmeter display settings

1: The vortex flowmeter with white balance temperature and pressure compensation can change the compensation flow displayed on the flowmeter by modifying the temperature and pressure values.

2: A vortex flowmeter without temperature and pressure compensation, you can change the display by modifying the instrument coefficient of the flowmeter to set the value. The instrument coefficient is inversely proportional to the displayed value, the larger the coefficient, the smaller the displayed flow rate, and vice versa.

3: The vortex flowmeter displays abnormal instantaneous flow rate

Vortex flowmeter measures the flow rate of water. It is installed as a split type. Eddy current sensors were installed on site to output pulse signals, which were combined with a flow accumulator for use.

The vortex flowmeter was installed on site and it was found that the instantaneous flow rate displayed zero, indicating that the equipment had not been started. After inspection, it was found that the equipment was operating normally. At the same time, it was found that the accumulated flow value had already accumulated, but the instantaneous flow display was still zero.

Under normal working conditions, the accumulation of instantaneous flow values has the quantity of accumulated flow values. This situation is obviously abnormal. Entering the flow integrator menu, I found an instantaneous flow filtering function FLTR setting value of 3. I tried to change it to 1, and the result returned to the measurement state. The instantaneous flow and cumulative flow of the flowmeter were displayed normally. Upon reviewing the manual again, Zui finally learned that the reason why the flow integrator does not display instantaneous flow but instead the vortex flowmeter displays cumulative flow is that the flow integrator has a digital filtering function to overcome flow fluctuations, while the instantaneous flow display does not affect the measurement of cumulative flow. Due to the small flow signal, setting FLTR to 3 is too large, resulting in high filter and slow response, leading to abnormal display. When changed to 1, the filtering effect is low, the response speed is slightly faster, and the display result is normal. But in either case, it will not affect the measurement of cumulative traffic.
