The electric contact thermometer is equipped with an electric contact device, namely a mechanical electric contact. When the temperature of the measured medium changes, the thin shaft and steering transmission mechanism on the free end drive the pointer and moving contact to rotate with the temperature change. At the moment of contact or disconnection with the fixed contact, the relays and contactors in the circuit system are activated to achieve automatic control and alarm purposes. It can measure the temperature of liquid, vapor, and gas media within the range of -80 ℃ to 500 ℃.

(1) The length of the thermometer protection tube inserted into the measured medium must be greater than the length of the temperature sensing element (generally the insertion length should be greater than 100mm, and the insertion length for the 0-50 ℃ range should be greater than 150mm) to ensure measurement accuracy.

(2) When using and installing electric contact thermometers, avoid colliding with the protective tube and do not bend or deform the protective tube.

(3) Before use, check if the thermometer has exceeded its warranty period (18 months). If it expires, it must be re inspected and qualified before it can be used.

(4) Electric contact thermometers often operate at temperatures ranging from 1/2 to 3/4 of the large range. During installation, the hexagonal part should be clamped to tighten the threads, and it is strictly prohibited to use the method of rotating the meter head to tighten the threads.

(5) When measuring or controlling the temperature of a medium above 200 ℃, in addition to installing joints to ensure sealing, attention should also be paid to the impact of radiation on the instrument. The normal operating environment temperature of the instrument is -20 to+60 ℃. If it exceeds this temperature range, protective measures should be taken, and the distance between the temperature measuring object and the meter head should be increased as much as possible.

(6) To increase the power of electrical contacts and prevent them from burning out, sensitive relays should be used in the control circuit. It is recommended to use electronic relays with self-locking function to increase the power of electrical contacts.
