The gravity type breathing valve with a connecting pipe is installed on the top of a fixed storage tank to reduce oil evaporation loss, control tank pressure, and prevent external flames from entering. It has the characteristics of high ventilation, low leakage, corrosion resistance, and is equipped with an electrostatic grounding wire to maintain equipotential between the valve and the tank. At present, technical improvements have been made to the parts of the takeover breathing valve that are prone to static electricity, and PTFE gaskets have been added to eliminate the need for static discharge devices.

Gravity breathing valves are regulated by gravity and open to relieve pressure when the pressure inside the container exceeds the maximum pressure.

Specific description of gravity type breathing valve with connecting pipe: When the pressure inside the storage tank is balanced with atmospheric pressure, the exhalation valve disc and exhalation valve seat of the breathing valve are tightly matched, and the inhalation valve disc and inhalation valve seat are tightly matched. When the pressure inside the storage tank exceeds the atmospheric pressure value (i.e. generates excessive positive pressure), the high pressure inside the tank directly acts below the breathing valve disc and overcomes the gravity of the valve disc and the external air pressure acting on the valve disc, thereby opening the breathing valve disc and discharging the excessive air pressure inside the tank through channel A, maintaining balance between the pressure inside the tank and atmospheric pressure.

When the pressure inside the storage tank is lower than the atmospheric pressure value (i.e. low negative pressure is generated), atmospheric pressure enters through the suction channel B and directly acts on the lower part of the suction valve disc, overcoming the gravity of the valve disc and the pressure inside the tank acting on the upper part of the valve disc, thereby opening the suction valve disc to supplement the pressure inside the storage tank, and maintaining balance between the pressure inside the tank and atmospheric pressure.

Gravity type breathing valves with connecting pipes are suitable for storing Class A oil products with a flash point below 28 ℃ and Class B oil products with a flash point below 60 ℃, such as gasoline, benzene, kerosene, light diesel, thick oil, and chemical product storage tanks with the same properties.

In order to ensure the safe use of the flame retardant breathing valve with exhalation connection, the flame retardant breathing valve should be regularly inspected and maintained:

1. Check whether the pressure valve disc and vacuum valve disc are flexible in action, and whether the guide rod and valve sealing ring are damaged in contact.

2. When reinstalling the pressure plate and vacuum plate, ensure that the contact surface is tight and the guide rod can be raised and lowered flexibly.

3. Clear the shock-absorbing material from the disc when activating the new flame retardant breathing valve.
