Reducing pipes, also known as reducers, are one of the pipeline fittings used in fluid pipeline construction for connecting two different pipe diameters. They can be divided into RC concentric reducers and RE eccentric reducers according to their shapes. Reducing pipe/reducer is a type of pipe fitting used for pipe diameter changes. The commonly used forming processes include reducing diameter pressing, expanding diameter pressing, or reducing diameter plus expanding diameter pressing. For some small-sized reducing pipes, stamping forming can also be used.
Reducing pipes can be divided into carbon steel (20 #, A3, Q235, Q235A, Q235B, 20G, 16Mn, Q345, Q345R, ASTM A234WPB, ASTM A105, etc.) according to their manufacturing materials; Stainless steel: (304, 304L, 316, 316L, S30408, S30403, S31608, S31603, SUS304, ASTM A403, TP321, TP317L, 347, 0Cr18Ni9, 00Cr19Ni10, 00Cr17Ni14Mo2, 1Cr18Ni9Ti, 06Cr17Ni12Mo2, 022Cr17Ni12Mo2, etc.); Alloy steel: (16MnR, Cr5Mo, 12Cr1MoV, 10CrMo910, 15CrMo, 12Cr2Mo1, A335P22, St45.8/III, A10bB, etc.); Special alloy steel: (TP310S, 904L, Incoloy800, Incoloy825, Incoloy600, Incoloy625, etc.); Dual phase stainless steel: (F51, S31803, S2205, F53, 2507, S32750, F55, 2607, S32760, etc.).
Common execution standards for reducers/reducers:
National standards: GB/T12459-2017, GB/T13401-2017
American standard: ASME B16.9
Petrochemical standards: SH/T3408-2012, SH/T3409-1996
Ministry of Chemical Industry Standard: HG/T21635-1987
Power industry standard: DL/T695-2014
Oil and gas industry standard: SY/T0510-2017
The application of eccentric reducers in Zhejiang: When the flow rate of the fluid in the pipeline changes, such as increasing or decreasing, and the flow velocity requirement does not change significantly, reducers need to be used; To prevent cavitation at the inlet of the pump, a reducing pipe is required; In order to match with the joints of instruments such as flow meters and regulating valves, reducing pipes are also required. At present, most pipeline networks require the use of reducers, mainly used in petroleum, chemical, natural gas, steam pipeline networks, hydraulic machinery, etc.
