The intelligent electronic patrol and inspection management system consists of four parts.

Patrol device (data collector) - carried by patrol personnel during patrol work, recording the time and situation of arrival at each patrol point.

Patrol point (information identifier) - an electronic identifier placed on the patrol route to patrol and inspect the area.

Communication dock (data download converter) - used to download patrol data stored in the patrol device to a PC through it

There are several types of patrols currently available in the market: 1. Online patrol: Users must install a patrol machine at each patrol point (the location where security guards report and sign during patrols), and it must be powered and connected to the internet, resulting in a high overall system cost. Its advantage is that people can see the patrol situation of the patrol personnel in a timely manner on the computer in the security control center. But after all, the "online electronic patrol machine" is difficult to promote and popularize in many places due to its high cost.

2. Offline patrol: Offline patrol refers to the use of information recording cards at patrol points to read and record the patrol situation. The information is read by a handheld patrol device (also known as a patrol stick) in contact with the information recording card, and after completing the entire patrol task, the information stored in the handheld patrol device is transmitted back to the computer for reading or printing. Due to its simplified system and lower price, it has completed the basic functions of patrol and overcome the shortcomings of the "online patrol system". It is very popular among users and quickly became the mainstream product in the market. The development and expansion of China's electronic patrol system market, gradually maturing, began with this generation of offline patrol machines.

On the basis of offline patrol, it can be divided into contact patrol and induction patrol:

Contact based patrol, also known as information button patrol, utilizes the Touch Memory Button technology from DALLAS in the United States. The patrol baton and patrol points are designed with all metal materials.

The advantage of a contact type information button is that its number is globally unique, with a service life of about 10 years. It is resistant to high temperatures, not afraid of open flames, corrosion, acid and alkali, not affected by electromagnetic interference, has error free reading, and is resistant to damage, rain and snow; In addition, it has strong physical properties, is not afraid of rain and snow, is resistant to high and low temperatures, and has superior corrosion resistance. It is generally very suitable for harsh environments.

Its disadvantages: 1. The patrol machine (patrol stick) and information button must be in very accurate contact to read information, which is very inconvenient to operate, especially at night, with poor lighting and difficult to find accurately; 2. The exposed metal casing of the information button is prone to contamination, causing poor contact and ineffective information collection; 3. The exposed information button is prone to damage.

Inductive patrol uses Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, and patrols and tags can achieve card reading without contact by exchanging radio waves with each other.

The advantage of an induction card is that its number is globally unique, with a service life of over 10 years. It can be installed in walls, has good concealment, and does not require contact between the patrol machine and the card, which can effectively avoid wear and tear caused by contact. In addition, the cost of the induction card used is extremely low.

Its disadvantages: 1. It is susceptible to interference from metal objects; 2 plastic shell packaging, afraid of corrosion.
