The melt blown process requires a large amount of hot air. The compressed air output by the air compressor is dehumidified and filtered before being transported to the air heater for heating, and then sent to the melt blown die assembly. The air heater is a pressure vessel that must resist the oxidation effect of high-temperature air, so stainless steel is selected as the material. The heating element of the air heater is a stainless steel electric heating tube. Multiple baffles are installed inside the heater cavity to extend the residence time of air in the heater cavity and improve heat exchange efficiency. Appropriately increasing the number of heating tubes and increasing the installed power of the air heater can shorten the heating time of the production line during start-up. The melt blown process requires high temperature control accuracy for the stretching air heater, and the stretching air temperature needs to be stable within a range of ± 1 ℃.

In melt blown systems, most of them use air heaters heated by electricity. Inside the heater housing made of stainless steel, there are a large number of stainless steel electric heating tubes. After the electric heating tubes are powered on, the tubes heat up and exchange heat with the airflow sent by the fan, transferring the heat to the airflow and becoming the high-temperature stretching airflow required for the process.

(1) Reasonably describe the air volume and temperature rise. The power of the meltblown fabric air heater is determined based on the calculation of air volume and temperature rise. Under the premise that the air volume and temperature rise meet the requirements, it is not advisable to use excessive air volume and temperature rise, as excessive air volume and temperature rise directly lead to excessive power of the meltblown fabric air heater and increase energy consumption.

(2) The exterior of the meltblown air heater should be insulated with a thermal insulation layer. Most users only insulate the pipeline at the outlet of the air electric heater when using it, without any insulation treatment for the appearance of the electric heater itself. According to the data, adding insulation layer on the surface of the electric heater can reduce energy consumption by 5% to 10%. Long term operation can save a considerable amount of energy. Users should install insulation layer on both the pipeline and the air electric heater.
