The rated AC voltage should be below 500V, and the long-term operating temperature of the cable core should not exceed 70 ℃. The allowable bending diameter of the cable should not be less than 6 times the outer diameter of the cable, and the laying temperature should not be lower than 0 ℃.

The deterioration of the middle end of the cable mainly manifests in two aspects: one is the gradual increase in contact resistance of the middle end; The other is that the insulation resistance of the middle end is decreasing year by year, while the leakage current is increasing year by year. Both of these reasons can lead to an increase in the surface temperature of the intermediate head. The reasons for the deterioration of the middle head are multifaceted, and the main reasons are:
(1) The cable has been in operation for a long time and has reached its service life. However, the insulation resistance of the cable itself and the intermediate head has been decreasing year by year and does not meet the specified standard value.
(2) The cable often runs at full load, and due to the thermal effect of current, heat is generated, causing the temperature of the middle end to be too high, which accelerates the insulation degradation of the middle end of the cable.
(3) During operation, cables are often subjected to high current impact loads or short circuit current impacts caused by electrical equipment problems, resulting in the insulation layer at the middle end fluctuating between cold and hot, frequent temperature changes, and large temperature differences, causing insulation deformation and brittleness, accelerating insulation degradation at the middle end.
(4) The process of the middle end of the cable is not in place, and the oxide film at the connecting pipe is not completely removed or there is oil and dust on the hands of the operators, which sticks to the core joint and increases the contact resistance at the joint. During long-term operation, the gradual increase in contact resistance will result in significant active power loss, and the amount of heat generated will also increase, leading to excessively high intermediate head temperature and accelerated insulation degradation.
(5) During the production process of cable intermediate heads, when heating the heat shrink tubing, it is difficult to control the temperature, which can easily burn the insulation material and reduce the insulation resistance. Or during the heating process, small cracks may appear on the end face due to uneven heating, or moisture may accumulate due to poor sealing, causing the insulation resistance to decrease year by year and the leakage current to increase year by year.
(6) Due to poor quality of the wire core connecting tube, uneven thickness or mismatch with the joint, the contact surface is insufficient and poor. Under high current load, the high temperature at the joint accelerates insulation aging.
