On November 5th, the Chinese Academy of Engineering“power cableThe "Manufacturing and Application" Engineering Frontier Technology Seminar was held in Hangzhou, where academicians, experts, and industry elites discussed the current situation of the power cable industry and explored the collaborative innovation mechanism of our province's power cable industry. The seminar is jointly organized by the Department of Energy and Mining Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the Provincial Association for Science and Technology, and the Provincial Commission of Economy and Information Technology.

The power cable industry belongs to the equipment manufacturing industry and is a key supported industry in our province. Although cable and cable material manufacturing enterprises in our province have their own characteristics, there is a lack of cooperation in technological innovation. Overall, there are problems such as overcapacity, intense market competition, and weak independent innovation, which need to be solved through further transformation and upgrading, and collaborative innovation. This forum provides a learning and exchange platform for the Zhejiang power cable industry.

In recent years, our province has utilized the construction platform of academician expert workstations to introduce the intelligence of academician experts through long-term cooperation with academician teams, providing strategic support, technical guidance, and talent cultivation for the realization of "Zhejiang Creation". As of the end of 2014, there were 424 workstations at or above the city level in the province, and 254 academicians from outside the province were introduced. The original consulting services and achievement transformation activities of academicians and experts were transformed into a two-way interactive and win-win technology strategic cooperation alliance, providing intellectual support for regional economic innovation and development.
