Fluoroplastic cables can be made in two forms: solid core and insulation. Among them, physically foamed fluoroplastic cables have been produced and used abroad, but are still in the research and development process in China. The fluoroplastic cables we usually refer to are solid core fluoroplastic cables.
Three common forms: single core cable, coaxial cable, and multi-core cable.
1. Single core cable
Also known as high-temperature wire, its structure consists of a single or multiple strands of copper wire (tinned copper wire) as the inner conductor, with an outer diameter of 0.4-2.0mm. The insulation is made of fluoroplastic, with an insulation layer thickness of 0.3-0.5mm. It is commonly used as aviation wire, electronic and electrical equipment wiring, and lighting wire for special occasions.
2. Coaxial cable
The inner conductor is a single or multiple strands of copper wire (tin plated copper silver copper wire) with a diameter of 1.25~1.6mm. There are three insulation forms: A. Fluoroplastic insulation with a thickness of 0.5~0.7mm, B. Fluoroplastic foam insulation with a thickness of 2.5~3.0mm, C. Fluoroplastic and polyethylene composite insulation, with the inner layer insulated with fluoroplastic and the outer layer insulated with polyethylene, with a thickness of 0.04~0.07mm for fluoroplastic. This type of cable is commonly used as a connecting wire for RF cables and electronic equipment.
3. Multi core cable
Twist single core wires or coaxial cables together to facilitate multi-core cables. There are twisted pair and non twisted pair cables, which are used for industrial computer control and automation instrument control. For special occasions such as Category 5 and Category 5e cables, data transmission, audio and video transmission, etc., this type of fluoroplastic cable is also used.
