Manual soil compaction instrumentThere are two types: light and heavy. The light compaction instrument is suitable for cohesive soil with a particle size of 5mm, and the heavy compaction instrument is suitable for soil with a particle size of 20mm. When using three-layer compaction, the maximum particle size is 40mm.
1. Material preparation: Different material preparation methods are used according to the different types of experiments.
1.1 Dry soil method (repeated use of soil) Place representative soil samples that have been air dried or dried at a low temperature of 50 ℃ on a rubber plate, crush them with a round wooden stick, and then sieve them through different pore sizes. For small tubes, take about 3kg of soil sieved by the quartering method, and for large test tubes, take about 6.5kg by the quartering method. Estimate the air dried or natural moisture content of the soil sample. If the air dried moisture content is too much lower than the initial moisture content, the soil sample can be spread on a non absorbent plate, evenly sprayed with an appropriate amount of water using a water spraying device, thoroughly mixed, and stewed overnight for later use.
2. Experimental steps:
2.1 According to the engineering requirements, select the light or heavy test method as specified. According to the properties of the soil (including the number of easily broken wind fossils and the moisture content), dry soil method (repeated or non repeated use of soil) or wet soil method should be selected according to regulations.
