New regulations and standards for oxygen pharmacopoeia
1Purity and impurity content standards for medical pure oxygen:
The oxygen purity shall not be lower than 99.5%, the carbon monoxide content shall not exceed 0.005%, the maximum carbon dioxide content shall not exceed 0.03%, and the moisture content shall not exceed 0.0067%
2Medical pure oxygen purity and impurity content detection instrument standard:
Carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide are measured using an infrared analyzer
Oxygen purity is measured using a paramagnetic analyzer
Moisture content is measured using an electrolytic hygrometer (based on the principle of phosphorus pentoxide dew point meter)
YY1468-2016 "Oxygen Concentrator Gas Supply System for Medical Gas Pipeline Systems"Due to the increasingly widespread use of molecular sieves in oxygen production and the standardization of national regulations and supervision, after multiple rounds of discussion and review, the "Oxygen Concentrator Gas Supply System for Medical Gas Pipeline Systems" has been officially released. The specification states that the oxygen produced by the molecular sieve oxygen production system [oxygen enriched air, 93% oxygen] can be used in medical gas pipeline systems as a substitute for "oxygen" in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia, and can be combined with gas supply sources (i.e. oxygen cylinders or low-temperature containers) containing 100% medical oxygen.
Technical requirements: Oxygen concentration of 90% -96%, moisture content not exceeding 0.0067%, carbon monoxide concentration not exceeding 0.0005%, carbon dioxide concentration not exceeding 0.03%, nitrogen oxides not exceeding 0.0002%, and other gaseous oxidizing substance solutions should be colorless.
On February 6, 2021, the National Pharmacopoeia Committee revised and released the "Draft National Drug Standards for Oxygen", which made specific provisions on the purity of medical oxygen and the content and detection methods of trace amounts of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and moisture in oxygen.
