Glass rotor flowmeter is widely used in industry due to its simple structure and intuitive reading. However, due to material and operating conditions limitations, the following common faults are prone to occur. The following are specific types of faults, causes, and solutions:
1、 Float stuck or unable to move
Phenomenon: The float stays in a certain position and does not move smoothly, resulting in abnormal readings.
Reason:
Impurities in the medium: Particles, fibers, and other impurities in the pipeline enter the flowmeter and trap the float.
Improper installation: The flowmeter is not installed vertically, or installation stress causes deformation of the cone tube.
Float wear: After long-term use, the surface of the float wears down, and the gap with the cone tube is too large or too small.
Temperature change: Excessive medium temperature causes the float to expand, or low temperature causes the medium to solidify.
resolvent:
Clean the inside of the flowmeter and install a filter to prevent impurities from entering.
Check the installation angle to ensure vertical installation and eliminate stress.
Replace the worn float or adjust the clearance of the cone tube.
Control the temperature of the medium within the allowable range of the flowmeter.
