Glass rotor flowmeter is widely used in industry due to its simple structure and intuitive reading. However, due to material and operating conditions limitations, the following common faults are prone to occur. The following are specific types of faults, causes, and solutions:
Large reading error
Phenomenon: The deviation between the actual flow rate and the reading exceeds the allowable range (usually ≥ ± 2%).
Reason:
Unregulated operating parameters: The medium density, temperature, pressure are different from the calibration conditions and have not been corrected.
Float position deviation: Improper installation of the float or deformation of the cone tube can cause scale distortion.
Changes in medium viscosity: High viscosity media affect the lift of the float, resulting in low readings.
Gas density variation: During gas flow measurement, density variations (such as temperature and pressure fluctuations) are not compensated for.
resolvent:
Adjust the reading based on the actual operating parameters (density, temperature, pressure).
Re calibrate the float position and check if the cone tube is deformed.
For high viscosity media, choose a viscosity correction flowmeter or switch to a metal rotor flowmeter.
Install temperature and pressure compensation devices during gas measurement.
