Glass rotor flowmeter is widely used in industry due to its simple structure and intuitive reading. However, due to material and operating conditions limitations, the following common faults are prone to occur. The following are specific types of faults, causes, and solutions:
Glass tube rupture or leakage
Phenomenon: Cracks, breakage, or leakage at the connection of the glass tube.
Reason:
Mechanical collision: Exposure to external forces during installation, transportation, or use.
Thermal expansion and contraction: Severe temperature changes cause stress rupture of glass tubes.
Pressure resistance exceeding limit: The medium pressure exceeds the rated pressure resistance value of the flowmeter.
Aging: After long-term use, glass materials become brittle due to aging.
resolvent:
Replace the glass tube, avoid collision during installation, and install a protective cover.
Control the temperature fluctuation range of the medium to avoid rapid cooling and heating.
Confirm that the working pressure is within the pressure range of the flowmeter, and replace the high-pressure type if necessary.
Regularly check the condition of glass tubes and replace aging components in a timely manner.
