The meaning of inspection

To maintain the original performance of production equipment, human senses are usedThe process of conducting preventive and thorough inspections of specified parts (points) of equipment for abnormalities using visual, auditory, olfactory, and tactile means, or simple tools and instruments, according to pre-set cycles and methods, in order to detect, prevent, and handle potential hazards and defects early. This type of equipment inspection is called point inspection.

Purpose of inspection

The purpose of spot checks is to prevent faults before they occur, that is, to detect defective parts as early as possible through inspection and diagnosis of equipment, judge and eliminate the factors of defects, determine the scope and content of fault repairs, and prepare accurate and reasonable spare parts supply plans and equipment maintenance plans, thereby maintaining high stability of equipment performance and improving equipment efficiency.

The main steps of inspection

(1) Determine equipment inspection points

Making the key parts or weak links of the equipment the focus of inspection, and establishing the location and quantity of inspection points reasonably, is the key to carrying out good inspection work. The key parts and weak links mainly refer to the structure, working conditions, production processes, and important parts and parameter points in the operation and management of the equipment. Excessive or insufficient selection of equipment inspection points cannot achieve the expected purpose of implementing inspection.

(2) Determine the inspection items

To determine the equipment inspection items, it is necessary to determine the job content of each inspection point, such as temperature, pressure, vibration, leakage, and wear and tear. When determining the inspection items, not only should the importance in production and the structure and characteristics of the equipment be considered, but also the technical level of the inspection personnel and the matching condition of the repair and testing tools should be taken into account. After the inspection items are determined, they need to be included in the inspection item table.

(3) Develop inspection and judgment criteria

The criteria for establishing inspection and judgment are mainly based on the technical requirements and actual operating conditions of the equipment. It is the main basis for judging and measuring whether the technical status of each inspection item is normal. To improve the efficiency of inspection work and facilitate the work of inspectors. When formulating judgment criteria, quantification should be achieved as much as possible, such as specifying exact values for wear cycle, tightening torque, pressure, lubrication vibration value, temperature upper and lower limits, combustible gas leakage, parameter shutdown alarm setting, etc.

(4) Determine the inspection cycle

The determination of the inspection cycle should be based on the importance of inspection points in ensuring production or safe operation, as well as the relevant requirements of equipment maintenance and operation manuals, combined with the frequency of failures, component wear and tear, wear trends, maintenance experience, etc. Through comprehensive analysis and research of equipment operation, maintenance, and fault records, a practical inspection cycle should be determined. The final determination of the inspection cycle requires a process of exploration and trial implementation.

(5) Determine the inspection method and prepare the inspection checklist

It is very important to develop operational methods and working conditions for spot checks, as it can make the work procedures more standardized and regulated. For example, there should be clear regulations on whether to use sensory inspection or detection instruments for inspection, disassembly inspection or overall inspection, shutdown inspection or inspection during operation. Inspection personnel should implement different inspection methods and standards based on their respective inspection content and division of labor.

(6) Identify inspection personnel

Daily inspections are generally carried out by equipment operators and production dispatchers, as they are familiar with the technical performance and parameter conditions of the equipment, making it easy to detect parameter changes or fault symptoms in the first placeThey are also the foundation layer for implementing full staff management of equipment. Regular inspections are generally carried out by equipment personnel and captains.
