It is usually recommended to have a straight pipe section with at least 5 times the diameter of the pipeline upstream and a straight pipe section with at least 3 times the diameter of the pipeline downstream. This can reduce the impact of fluid disturbance on the measurement.
Installation direction
Select the appropriate installation direction based on the characteristics of the medium. For applications containing suspended particles or viscous liquids, it is recommended to use a vertical installation method to allow the fluid to flow from bottom to top and prevent sediment accumulation. For cleaning liquids, horizontal installation is also a common choice.
Sealing treatment
