V-beltThe correct use
Triangle belt transmission is widely used in agricultural machinery. If not used and maintained properly, it can cause wear, erosion, and elongation, affecting the normal use of the machinery. A detailed explanation was given on the structural characteristics, adjustment methods, and usage precautions of the V-belt and its transmission device, in order to extend the service life of the V-belt and its transmission device.
1. It is strictly prohibited to use one or two belts or mix old and new belts for operation. Some operators often use two triangular belts for easy starting of the locomotive, while others often mix old and new belts to save money. The new belt is short and the old belt is long. Even if three belts are used, it is only equivalent to using two or one. This can cause the engine power to not be fully transmitted to the chassis, especially during uphill heavy load operations, which can cause belt slippage and exacerbate belt wear. Using one belt, two belts, or a mixture of old and new belts may seem economical, but in reality, it is a waste.
2. Do not ignore the wear of the triangular belt groove. Small tractors sometimes have insufficient power during use, and one important reason for this is the wear of the triangular belt pulley and clutch belt groove of the diesel engine. Due to the wear of the pulley groove, the belt moves within the groove, and the tension of the three belts is also different, resulting in insufficient friction. When transmitting power, the belts slip severely, thereby reducing transmission efficiency. The method to check whether the belt pulley groove is worn is to take three triangular belts with the same width and install them on the belt pulley. The worn belt groove will have a greater downward movement. If the bottom groove of the belt groove is worn, a new part should be replaced. The newly replaced V-belt transmission device needs to check that the two inclined surfaces of the wheel groove are smooth and free of burrs to prevent the V-belt from being pulled.
3. The pulley assembly must be installed on the left, right, or lower side of the power output shaft. The pulley should not be installed on the upper side of the power output shaft to prevent the bearing from burning out due to lack of oil. There is a ventilation plug on the tractor pulley housing, which should be installed above to prevent oil leakage. The friction surface between the V-belt and pulley should not be contaminated with oil, otherwise it will slip.
4. When disassembling and assembling the V-belt, the tension pulley should be loosened, the position of the power machine on the slide rail should be changed, or the moving disc of the variable speed pulley should be pushed open. It is not allowed to use an iron rod to pry or remove the belt from the rim of the pulley. If necessary, you can rotate the pulley to reel the belt onto it, but do not force it too hard to avoid damaging the internal structure of the belt. If the new belt is difficult to hang on the pulley, a tensioner can be removed, put on the belt, and then reinstall the tensioner.
5. Check if the centerlines of the two pulley shafts are parallel, if the corresponding pulley grooves are aligned, and if there is any deviation. If the two axes are not parallel, it will cause uneven belt tension, and the belt with low tension will vibrate. If the corresponding wheel grooves cannot be aligned and deviate, it will cause the V-belt to have a "biting edge" phenomenon, which will aggravate the wear of the V-belt, and in severe cases, the V-belt will fall off. When the above situation occurs, the position of the V-belt on the engine can also be determined by fine-tuning to achieve the correct assembly requirements. In transmission, if the pulley is found to be swaying, the shaft and pulley should be checked for deformation, the pulley installation should be checked for skewness, and the bearings should be checked for excessive wear. When installing and adjusting the two adjusting discs of the continuously variable transmission pulley, there must be no deviation.
6. When a V-belt is severely worn and cannot be used, all V-belts should be replaced at the same time, with the same model and length, so that each belt has the same tension. It is generally not allowed to reduce the number of V-belts, otherwise the power of the diesel engine cannot be transmitted. V-belts should be avoided from direct sunlight as much as possible.
7. When a tractor drives a fixed work machinery for operation, belt transmission is usually used. When connecting fixed work machinery, pay attention to aligning the belt pulley on the tractor with the belt pulley on the fixed work machinery, put on the belt, adjust the tension, and fix them firmly. Step on the tractor brake pedal to the bottom and lock it with the positioning claw. Place triangular wooden blocks under the tires to prevent the tractor from moving.
