Sample pretreatment plan for rapid physical and chemical testing: suitable for food safety emergency and preventive monitoring
Date: 2025-10-21Read: 9
Sample pretreatment is a crucial step in rapid detection during emergency screening for food poisoning or preventive monitoring of food safety during large-scale events. This scheme is designed to classify and process samples of different shapes, which can avoid repetitive operations, reduce workload, and efficiently support synchronous detection of multiple projects.
1、 Colorless liquid samples (drinking water, source water)
Without the need for complex processing, simply take the test solution and use matching reagent kits, rapid testing cards, or specialized test materials to carry out toxin detection, shorten the detection cycle, and be suitable for rapid screening in emergency scenarios.
2、 Colored or turbid liquid samples
Firstly, remove interference through adsorbents: add activated carbon, polyamide powder, or diatomaceous earth, mix thoroughly and let it stand for a moment, then separate by filtration or centrifugation to obtain clear filtrate/supernatant; Subsequently, for colorless liquid samples, use reagent kits, test cards, or specialized test materials to complete toxin detection and solve the interference problem of color and turbidity on the detection results.
3、 Solid or semi-solid samples (such as food ingredients, processed foods)
  1. Take 10g of uniform sample and divide it equally into two parts to achieve "multi item detection of one sample":

  1. First part: Add 2-5 times the amount of purified water, stir thoroughly to dissolve soluble substances, filter, centrifuge or let stand to separate layers, take the supernatant, and use a reagent kit or other tools for detection;

  1. Second part: Using ethyl acetate as the extraction agent, fully dissolve the target substance in the sample and separate the ethyl acetate phase. Place it in a ventilated environment and evaporate it. Dissolve the residual substance in pure water and complete the detection using a reagent kit, covering the water-insoluble target substance.

This plan efficiently adapts different forms of samples through "classification processing+multi process adaptation of one sample", providing stable pre-treatment support for food safety emergency response and preventive monitoring, and helping to quickly identify risk substances.
