Measurement method and usage precautions of DC resistance tester
Measurement methods and steps
Disconnect the load lead of the tested DC resistance to prevent damage to the load side electrical appliances
1. Press the red button on the upper right corner to turn on the power supply for this instrument panel. The 15mA red indicator light on the upper left corner will light up, and the LCD screen directly above will display MANUAL 000ms (note: MANUAL=manual)
2. Check the calibration values on the nameplate of the tested leakage switch (the rated operating current of a typical indoor single-phase two-wire DC resistor is 30mA, the rated non operating current is 15mA, and the breaking time is ≤ 0.1S (i.e. ≤ 100mS)
3. Press the 'shift' button, and the 10 red indicator lights in a vertical row on the left will light up in a cycle from top to bottom. Adjust to the 30mA gear as described above, and the corresponding red light will flash
4. Insert the red plug of the test meter rod into the red socket of the 'test line', the black plug into the black socket of the 'ground wire', and the other end of the black plug wire is a black alligator clip. Clip it onto the ground post next to the tested DC resistor
5. Touch the other end of the red plug wire of the test meter rod to the live wire (220V) corresponding to the lower pole of the DC resistor. At this time, the normal DC resistor will trip and disconnect, and the LCD screen directly above will display 'MANUAL xxxms' (note: MANUAL=manual, xxx is the disconnection time value of the tested DC resistor). If it does not trip, the LCD screen will display' MANUAL fauat '(fauat=failure)
6. Check if the measured data meets the values specified on the nameplate
7. Press the 'Reset' green button to reset the instrument data to zero and enter the original power on state, preparing for the next test. If you want to continue testing, repeat items 1-7 above
Precautions for use
1. The 'test line' and 'ground line' must not be connected incorrectly. Red to red is connected to 200V (live wire), black to black is connected to the grounding pile. Sometimes, loose grounding piles (poor grounding) can also cause test failure. Please pay attention to distinguishing!
2. When opening the 'on/off' button, if the indicator light is dim and the LCD screen is not displaying, it may be caused by insufficient battery. You can use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the battery back cover on the back of this instrument panel and replace it with a battery of the same model
3. During use and carrying, handle with care, avoid strong bumps, vibrations, and impacts, and prevent corrosion from chemical reactants
