1、 Project Background
In the production process of automotive painting, the quality of body painting plays a key role in the appearance, anti-corrosion performance, and service life of the car. The environmental control of the paint mixing room before painting will greatly affect the final painting effect. If the wind speed, wind temperature, and humidity parameters in the paint mixing room do not meet the standards, it will cause the performance of the paint to be unstable, resulting in poor spraying effect and other problems. Therefore, the environmental parameters of the paint mixing room are crucial.
2、 Actual testing process
By utilizing the function of simultaneously testing multiple environmental parameters (wind speed, wind temperature, humidity) in 6533, measurement points are uniformly set in different areas of the paint mixing room, such as paint storage area, blending operation area, etc. According to the prescribed measurement process, record the wind speed, wind temperature, and humidity data of each measurement point in sequence. After multiple measurements and data organization, the overall environmental parameters of the paint mixing room have been determined. By real-time monitoring of these parameters, staff can adjust the environmental conditions of the paint mixing room in a timely manner to ensure that the blended paint meets the spraying requirements, thereby improving the overall quality of car painting.
The parameter standards are as follows, among whichWind speed is the core control item:
1. Wind speed: 0.3~0.8m/s, with priority given to stabilizing at around 0.5m/s
·Core requirement: The paint mixing room belongs to a "low wind speed environment", and it is necessary to avoid rapid airflow that may cause solvent evaporation. The wind speed in the entire area should be ≤ 0.8m/s (the highest limit), and the wind speed difference at each point should be ≤ 0.2m/s (uniformity requirement).
·Partition refinement:
Mixing operation area: The wind speed should be controlled at 0.4~0.6m/s - this wind speed can not only carry away a small amount of volatile solvent through a slight airflow, avoiding operators from inhaling too much, but also will not cause the paint surface to "crust". If the wind speed is greater than 0.8m/s, solvent based paint may form a thin film due to rapid surface evaporation during the mixing process;
Paint storage area: The wind speed can be slightly low (0.3~0.5m/s), with a focus on "no obvious airflow disturbance" to prevent dust from falling on the surface of the storage bucket from being blown up by the airflow and contaminating the paint after opening the bucket;
Cleaning area: The wind speed can be slightly higher (0.6~0.8m/s), and the exhaust hood can be used to quickly remove the solvent vapor evaporated during cleaning, but it should be ≤ 0.8m/s to avoid the water vapor being blown into the adjacent temporary storage area paint.
2. Wind temperature: 20-25 ℃, fluctuation ≤± 2 ℃
Temperature directly affects the viscosity of paint: if the temperature is less than 18 ℃, the pigment is prone to settling; If the temperature is greater than 28 ℃, solvent evaporation accelerates. The temperature in each area should be consistent (temperature difference between storage area and operation area ≤ 1 ℃) to avoid viscosity fluctuations caused by temperature changes after the paint is moved from the storage area to the operation area.
3. Humidity: 40%~60% RH (solvent based paint); 50%~70% RH (water-based paint)
·Solvent based paint is sensitive to high humidity: when the humidity exceeds 65% RH, moisture in the air may enter the paint, causing it to "emulsify" and leading to shrinkage after spraying;
·Water based paint requires medium to high humidity: When the humidity is less than 45% RH, the moisture in the water-based paint evaporates too quickly, which may cause bubbles to form during mixing and lead to pinholes during subsequent spraying. Therefore, it is necessary to regulate it through a humidification device.
three、testeffect
By using the environmental tester 6533 to monitor the environmental parameters of the paint mixing room in the automotive painting workshop, the quality of automotive painting can be effectively improved. In the paint mixing room, the anemometer accurately measures wind speed, wind temperature, and humidity, ensuring the stability of paint performance and laying the foundation for high-quality spraying effects. This indicates that anemometers are an important tool in the production process of automotive painting, and have significant importance in improving the overall quality and production efficiency of automotive painting. They are worthy of continuous promotion and application in the automotive painting industry to continuously optimize the production process and quality standards of automotive painting.
4Instrument performance and application
The intelligent environment tester 65Ser can simultaneously test wind speed, air volume, temperature, humidity, and pressure. It can input the shape and size of the pipeline section to calculate the air volume. The test data retention function and statistical calculation (average, maximum, minimum) can store up to 20000 data points. There are 8 probes to choose from, and the probes are interchangeable and compatible.
The KANOMAX environmental tester 65Ser is widely used in ventilation testing, laboratory control, clean room testing, IAQ assessment, industrial hygiene, quality control, etc., to ensure process safety and product quality.
