1、 Core structure

The magnetic liquid level gauge mainly consists of four parts: the measuring body, the magnetic float, the display component, and optional accessories. These components work together to achieve accurate liquid level measurement

Measurement subjectUsually a sealed metal conduit (main conduit) connected to the storage tank and filled with the measured medium inside. The material of the conduit is selected based on the characteristics of the medium, such as 304 stainless steel, 316L stainless steel, PTFE lined carbon steel, etc., with pressure and temperature resistance suitable for different working conditions.

Magnetic floatBuilt in permanent magnet steel, floating on the surface of the medium inside the conduit, synchronously rising and falling with changes in liquid level. The float material should be compatible with the medium and have a density lower than that of the measured medium (usually requiring a medium density greater than 0.5g/cm ³). High density or corrosion-resistant floats can be customized for special working conditions.

Display components

display in situInstall a flip display panel on the outer side of the main pipe, which is equipped with a reversible dual color magnetic flip (usually red and white, red indicates liquid, white indicates no liquid). The magnetic steel of the float drives the flip to flip through magnetic coupling, achieving intuitive display of liquid level.

2、 Working principle

The main pipe of the measuring body is connected to the measured storage tank through a flange or other interface, and the liquid level in the pipe is kept consistent with the liquid level in the storage tank (principle of connector).

The magnetic float floats on the liquid surface of the medium inside the conduit, and when the liquid level changes, the float moves up and down synchronously with the liquid level.

The built-in magnetic steel of the float generates a magnetic field, which penetrates the main pipe wall and forms a coupling effect with the magnetic flip on the outer display panel.

When the float rises or falls, the direction of the magnetic field changes, driving the flip of the corresponding position, achieving real-time and visual display of the liquid level. If a remote transmission component is installed, the magnetic field changes of the float will be captured by the transmitter and converted into standard electrical signals to be transmitted to the control system for remote monitoring.
