Doppler ultrasonic flowmeterIt is a fluid measurement device based on acoustic Doppler effect, which achieves accurate measurement of flow velocity and flow rate by detecting the frequency shift of ultrasonic waves reflected by suspended particles or bubbles in the fluid. The core principle stems from the Doppler effect - when the sound source moves relative to the observer, there is a difference between the receiving frequency and the transmitting frequency, and this frequency shift is proportional to the fluid flow velocity. The device captures the echo signal reflected by the scatterer by emitting ultrasonic waves at a fixed frequency, extracts the frequency shift value through spectral analysis algorithm, calculates the flow velocity by combining parameters such as sound velocity and angle, and then obtains the flow rate through the velocity area method.
Doppler ultrasonic flowmeterIts application scope is very wide, mainly covering the following fields:
1. Water Conservancy and Water Resources Management
Open channel and irrigation channel monitoring: Used to build automated flow monitoring stations at key locations such as main canals and canal heads in agricultural irrigation. Real time monitoring of water level, flow rate, flow rate, and water temperature can provide data support for water use scheduling, irrigation planning, and water resource management.
River and Channel Hydrological Monitoring: Used for hydrological stations in natural rivers and artificial channels to conduct long-term water situation monitoring, grasp the water flow patterns in the basin, and provide a basis for flood prevention, drought resistance, and water resource allocation.
Reservoir and lake monitoring: can be used to monitor the inflow and outflow of water in reservoirs and lakes.
2. Urban drainage and sewage system
Urban drainage network monitoring: suitable for real-time flow monitoring of non full or full pipelines such as urban sewers and drainage networks, helping managers grasp the operation status of the pipeline network and prevent waterlogging.
Monitoring of river/sea discharge outlets: In the intelligent monitoring system for river discharge outlets, automatic monitoring of sewage flow data is a key tool for strengthening the supervision of discharge outlets and implementing full chain environmental management.
Wastewater treatment plant: used to monitor the flow rate of wastewater containing a large amount of suspended solids in the inlet, outlet, and internal processes of the wastewater treatment plant. Due to its lack of mechanical components, it is not easily blocked or worn.
3. Industrial and Municipal Applications
Industrial pipeline flow measurement: It can be used for flow measurement of various full and non full pipelines in factories, power stations, and other scenarios, especially suitable for complex fluids containing impurities, sediment, or bubbles.
Urban water supply and drainage system: used for flow monitoring of urban water supply pipelines and drainage systems.
4. Emergency and Mobile Monitoring
Portable application: The portable Doppler ultrasonic flowmeter is lightweight, easy to operate, and widely used in:
Emergency monitoring: In case of sudden hydrological events such as mountain torrents, dike piping and urban pipe network leakage caused by rainstorm, it can be deployed quickly to obtain data in real time to support flood control decision-making and emergency response.
Field survey: Conduct water conservancy investigations in remote mountainous areas and areas lacking fixed monitoring points to obtain basic hydrological data.
Daily inspection: The water resources management department conducts multi-point inspections to improve work efficiency and promptly detect water usage abnormalities.
5. Research and Teaching
Research project: Researchers utilize the flexible data collection characteristics of river ecological restoration and hydrological model validation for monitoring.
Teaching Practice: During field internships, students majoring in hydrology and water conservancy in universities deepen their understanding of hydrological monitoring principles by operating the equipment.
