What are the functions of a handheld ternary catalytic spectrometer?
Date: 2025-11-16Read: 7
Handheld ternary catalytic spectrometer is an efficient and portable analytical tool widely used in automobile exhaust emission monitoring, environmental protection, industrial production, and scientific research fields. The use of spectral analysis technology to detect and analyze the catalytic performance of ternary catalysts has advantages such as small size, easy operation, and fast detection.

  Handheld ternary catalytic spectrometerWorking principle:
1. Light source emission: The analyzer is equipped with a stable light source inside, and common light sources include xenon lamps, xenon lamps, lasers, etc. The light emitted by the light source enters the sample under test through the optical system.
2. Sample reflection or transmission: The substance to be tested (such as a catalyst) undergoes absorption, reflection, or transmission of light under illumination, and different catalyst substances have different absorption characteristics for light of different wavelengths.
3. Spectral signal detection: Reflected or transmitted light is transmitted through an optical system to a spectral detector, which generates corresponding signals based on the wavelength distribution of the light.
4. Data analysis: Spectral signals are processed by a data processing system to calculate the chemical composition and catalytic performance of the sample, form spectra or numerical results, and display them on the analyzer screen.
5. Result output: The analysis results can be displayed in real-time or exported to a computer or mobile phone through wireless transmission function for users to further analyze or record.
The main functions of a handheld ternary catalytic spectrometer are:
1. Catalyst performance testing: The catalytic effect of the ternary catalyst can be detected in real time through spectral data to evaluate whether it meets the design requirements and quickly determine whether the catalyst has failed or needs to be replaced.
2. Exhaust emission analysis: In automobile exhaust emission monitoring, the analyzer can detect harmful gas components (such as CO, NOx, HC, etc.) in automobile emissions and evaluate the catalytic removal effect of three-way catalysts on these harmful gases.
3. Catalyst activity monitoring: By testing the reaction performance of ternary catalysts under different working conditions, the analyzer can display the catalytic activity of the catalyst in real time, helping to detect whether the catalyst is in the optimal working state.
4. Material composition analysis: For the catalyst material itself, the analyzer can accurately measure the composition and distribution of the catalyst through spectral analysis technology, providing material quality assessment.
5. Portability: The handheld design makes the analyzer highly convenient, allowing users to quickly perform catalyst detection and environmental monitoring on site without the need to send samples to the laboratory, greatly improving work efficiency.
6. Data storage and export: Analyzer is generally equipped with data storage function, which can store historical detection results, support data export, and facilitate subsequent analysis and file management.
7. Real time monitoring and alarm: Some instruments have real-time monitoring functions. Once the catalyst performance decreases or emissions exceed the standard, the instrument will promptly issue an alarm to remind operators to take corresponding measures.
