What are the requirements for installing combustible gas detectors and combustible gas alarms?
Date: 2020-07-24Read: 16

What requirements should be met for the installation of combustible gas detectors?
1. The selection of combustible gas probes should be within a radius of 1 meter around valves, pipeline interfaces, gas outlets, or areas prone to leakage, as close as possible, without affecting the operation of other equipment, and avoiding high temperature and high humidity environments as much as possible.
2. When using combustible gas probes for large-area gas detection, a probe arrangement of 10-12 square meters can be used, which can also achieve detection and alarm effects.
3. The installation method of combustible gas probes can be roof mounted, wall mounted, or pipe mounted, ensuring a firm and reliable installation while considering ease of maintenance and calibration.
4. Installation height of combustible gas probe: When detecting gases with a specific gravity lower than air such as hydrogen, natural gas, and city gas, it should be installed about 1 meter from the roof; When detecting gases such as liquefied petroleum gas with a specific gravity greater than air, they should be installed at a height of about 1.5-2 meters above the ground.
5. The on-site wiring of combustible gas probes should be threaded through pipes that meet fire safety requirements. The pipes should be connected to the probes to meet fire safety requirements.
6. When installing combustible gas probes, the sensor should be fixed facing downwards.
7. Combustible gas probes should be wired in the event of a power outage, and after confirming the correct wiring, they should be powered on; The probe should be opened and debugged after confirming that there is no combustible gas leakage on site.

8. Combustible gas probes should be calibrated at least once a year to ensure detection accuracy.
