How to avoid damaging the SMC cylinder during use?

Many people may be unfamiliar with the proprietary name SMC cylinder, which is a core component of pneumatic technology. As a typical pneumatic component, it is now widely used in the mechanical manufacturing industry. Cylinders are a commonly used transmission system in pneumatic control valves, and daily maintenance and installation are relatively simple. However, not paying attention during application can harm the cylinder and even cause damage. What should we pay attention to when applying?

Note 1: Before installing the bronchial tube and cylinder, it is necessary to check whether there is any dirt in the tube and keep it clean to prevent dirt from entering the cylinder, causing damage or harm to the cylinder.

Note 2: In low temperature situations, cold prevention measures should be taken to prevent moisture locking in the system software. Under high temperature standards, a heat-resistant cylinder that matches the installation should be selected.

Note 3: If the load changes during operation, choose a cylinder with sufficient output force.

Note 4: During operation, try to prevent side loads as much as possible, otherwise it will endanger the normal use period of the cylinder.

Note 5: If the cylinder is removed and not used for a long time, anti fouling blocking caps should be added to the intake and exhaust pipes to prevent surface rust treatment.

Note 6: Before application, the cylinder should be fully loaded and tested. During operation, the buffer should be adjusted at least and gradually increased. The speed adjustment throughout the process should not be too fast to prevent excessive impact and damage to the cylinder.

We must pay attention to this matter when applying it, so as to prevent the cylinder from being covered in bruises shortly after application, and to prevent difficulties in the operation of automation equipment. Everyone can learn more about the ability and knowledge of cylinders, and when problems arise, everyone also knows how to solve them!

The cylinder is a key component of pneumatic components, and in order to ensure its normal operation throughout the entire application process and avoid unnecessary situations, it is also crucial to choose a suitable cylinder. How to choose? This question undoubtedly perplexes many pneumatic component customers as well.

For some individuals who have a deep understanding of their experiences, they all have their own set of selection criteria. But for many 'outsiders', how to choose is indeed a difficult point. The cylinder is the implementing component in pneumatic control valves, and its quality can immediately endanger the overall performance of the supporting facilities, machinery, and equipment. Let's discuss how personnel are selected.

1. To choose a manufacturer that manufactures cylinder products, it is important to ensure reliable product quality.

2. The quality of products has certain standards. When selecting, pay attention to the different specifications used when manufacturing cylinders. If it is a product standard, it should be compared with the Chinese standards for pneumatic components.

3. Subsequently, there was an immediate examination of the product itself. The investigation can be conducted from three aspects, including the appearance, internal and external leakage, and full load performance of the product. In fact, it can be divided into three parts: the appearance aspect, the cylinder liner and hydraulic cylinder surface should be free of scratches, and the bearing end cover should have no air outlets or sand holes; No external leakage is allowed except for the rod end. Internal leakage and external leakage at the rod end should be less than (3+0.15D) ml/min and (3+0.15d) ml/min, respectively; When the cylinder is in a no-load state and operating at low speed, observe the speed at which it operates without crawling. The lower the speed, the better.

4. There is another challenge, which is to check whether the product specifications are suitable. Before purchasing, it is necessary to clarify the installation method and specifications of the cylinder in advance. The installation specifications can be clearly stated when ordering pneumatic components. Because cylinders are generally not traded in stock, it is recommended to choose basic models as much as possible to reduce delivery time.

In most cases, a cylinder pressure gauge can be used to measure cylinder pressure through the spark plug mounting hole, in order to determine the wear of various internal components of the engine and serve as one of the criteria for whether the engine needs major repairs.

If all cylinders of the engine experience low cylinder pressure, a small amount of oil can be injected into the cylinder through the spark plug hole and the cylinder pressure can be remeasured. If the cylinder pressure rises, it indicates that the gap between the piston ring and the cylinder wall is too large; If the cylinder pressure remains unchanged, it indicates poor sealing of the valve or cylinder gasket.

The internal condition of the engine can be visually observed through an endoscope. For example, when a vehicle encounters low cylinder pressure after wading through water, the possibility of water entering the cylinder causing the piston connecting rod and valve stem to bend should be considered, which can lead to poor sealing and a decrease in cylinder pressure. At this time, it can be easily judged through an endoscope.

When dealing with problems such as low cylinder pressure, it is usually necessary to disassemble the engine, check the wear of the piston rings and valve components, and if necessary, overhaul the engine and replace the corresponding components.

Some anti-wear chemical products on the market claim to increase cylinder pressure and improve power. If the cylinder pressure is too low due to severe wear of piston ring components, repairing it with anti-wear agents is usually difficult to achieve good repair results.

Good driving and maintenance habits directly affect the lifespan of engine cylinders. There are many factors that can affect the lifespan of an engine, including regular maintenance, oil and filter changes. If high-quality Mahler engine parts can be used, it will greatly enhance the maintenance of engine performance.
