Overview of HFSHD-6 Lime Activity Tester

HFSHD-6 Lime Activity Tester is an instrument used to measure the activity index of lime, which refers to its ability to react with other substances in slag; Expressed by the melting rate of lime in slag, usually expressed by the reaction rate between lime and water.

The activity of lime depends on its organizational structure, which is closely related to the calcination temperature and time. The organizational structure that affects the activity of lime includes bulk density, porosity, specific surface area, and grain size of calcium oxide. The smaller the grain size, the larger the specific surface area, and the higher the porosity, the higher the lime activity and the stronger the chemical reaction ability. At present, the average activity level of lime can generally exceed 300Ml/4N-HCL, which can shorten the initial slagging time of steelmaking converters, reduce the consumption of lime per ton of steel, and is also beneficial for early dephosphorization.
