ybzhanPractical Application of Shanghai Yichuan Instrument Differential Pressure Transmitter
In a certain oil depot project, the author applied this idea to practical design.
Design conditions: A 2000m3 oil tank with a diameter of d=14.5m and a height to obtain the actual inventory G of the oil product. The formula also shows that its density ρ h=14m.
Primary meter: 1151LT flange type explosion-proof differential pressure transmitter. The flange type is selected to prevent the accumulation of dirt at the bottom of the tank from blocking the pressure pipe. The transmitter has a range of 0-140kPa.
Secondary meter: WP series intelligent light column display alarm is selected, with universal signal input and the range can be changed arbitrarily. The liquid level is displayed using a light column, and the tonnage of oil is displayed using numbers. Taking tank 6 as an example, S=π× r2=3.14 × 7.252=165m2, with a height of 14m.
At the top of the oil tank, a differential pressure transmitter is designed with a liquid level alarm device to prevent oil overflow and serve as a dual safety measure. In application, since the measured value is directly in tons, regardless of the type of oil stored in the oil tank, the value displayed on the secondary table is the ton of oil in the tank, avoiding the trouble of measuring density for conversion.
Shanghai Yichuan InstrumentIn general, differential pressure transmitters are used to measure the inflow and outflow of oil products through elliptical gear flow meters transported by pumps. Due to the limited accuracy of flow meters, the highest level is only 0.2. Differential pressure transmitters also need to measure density calculations, and the results are often inconsistent, resulting in measurement disputes. Now, because the measurement results of oil tanks are in tons and the accuracy can reach 0.2 or even 0.1 levels, compared with volumetric flow meters, differential pressure transmitters have more accurate measurement results. Although the absolute error of measurement results is relatively large due to resolution issues when small quantities of oil products are in and out of storage, the high accuracy and small relative error of differential pressure transmitters cannot be compared to other measurements when large quantities of oil products are in and out of storage, making them particularly suitable for monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory. Practice has shown that its main advantages are: ① simple and convenient installation and maintenance; ② The reading is intuitive, direct and clear, and can directly read the inventory level of oil products; ③ Exemption from density measurement and conversion.
