Remote Communication Solution for Gas Detector (Part 3)

As shown in the figure, the site is networked according to the bus communication method, and RS485 signals are transmitted to the optical terminal to be converted into optical signals, which are transmitted using optical fibers. At the receiving end, the optical transceiver converts the optical signal into RS485 signal and sends it to devices such as computers and PLCs for reception

The main advantages of this communication method are:

1. Can be transmitted over long distances, the signal can be transmitted as long as the fiber optic cable can, without signal attenuation issues

2. The signal transmission speed is super fast and stable, depending only on the communication speed of the device

3. Reduce wiring costs: Fiber optic cables are much cheaper than three core and four core cables

4. Improving the efficiency of on-site installation, fiber optic networks are gradually becoming popular, making it easy to use fiber optic for local area network and external network transmission
