Metal float flowmeterFor variable area flow meters, that is, in the vertical measuring tube of the flow meter, when the fluid flows upward through the tube. The float moves upward, and at a certain position, the lift and gravity of the float reach equilibrium. At this point, the circulation gap area between the float and the orifice plate (or cone tube) remains constant. The annular gap area is proportional to the rising height of the float, that is, a certain height of the float represents the size of the flow rate. When the float moves up and down, the position is transmitted to the external indicator in the form of magnetic coupling, so that the pointer of the indicator follows the movement of the float, and with the help of the cam plate, the pointer linearly indicates the size of the flow value.
The electric remote transmission type is a standard signal that converts the flow rate value into 0-10mA or 4-20mA through an angular displacement sensor and an electric transmission circuit while the pointer indicates the flow rate on site.
1.Metal float flowmeterIt must be installed vertically, and the measured fluid flows through the flowmeter from bottom to top. The inlet and outlet must have a straight pipe section with a diameter of 5 times the instrument diameter. For newly installed pipelines, the metal float flowmeter should be flushed clean before installation.
2. Valves should be installed upstream of the metal float flowmeter, and flow regulating valves should be installed downstream at 5-10 times the instrument diameter. For small-diameter instruments, a filter should be installed upstream. If the measured medium contains magnetic substances, a magnetic filter should be installed before the metal float flowmeter.
3. In order to facilitate maintenance and replacement of the metal float flowmeter, a bypass pipeline needs to be connected during instrument installation.
The measurement accuracy of a metal float flowmeter is generally 2.5 levels. When high measurement accuracy is required, it is not advisable to choose a metal rotor flowmeter.
When the measured medium is dirty, the tube and float should be cleaned in a timely manner.
