ybzhanWhat are the main types of floating ball valves in Jiangsu Huaying Valve Industry
Jiangsu Huaying Valve IndustryFloating ball valve mainly refers to the ability of its internal sphere to produce a certain degree of displacement under the action of medium pressure, in order to achieve better sealing effect. According to different classification standards, floating ball valves can have different types. The following are several common classification methods and their corresponding types of floating ball valves:
Classified by connection method:
Flange connected floating ball valve: This type of ball valve has flanges at both ends and is connected to the pipeline flange through bolts.
Threaded connection floating ball valve: The valve end has internal or external threads, which can be directly screwed into the pipeline or fittings to achieve connection.
Classified by sealing surface material:
Soft sealed floating ball valve: usually uses non-metallic materials such as polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) as the sealing surface, suitable for low pressure and room temperature environments, and has good sealing performance.
Hard sealed floating ball valve: adopts a metal to metal sealing structure, suitable for high temperature and high pressure working conditions.
Classified by working temperature range:
Room temperature floating ball valve: suitable for working conditions between -29 ℃ and 150 ℃.
High temperature floating ball valve: capable of withstanding higher temperatures, such as up to 300 ℃ or even higher.
Classified by operation method:
Manual floating ball valve: operated manually through a handwheel or wrench.
Electric floating ball valve: equipped with an electric actuator, it can achieve remote control or automated operation.
Pneumatic floating ball valve: uses compressed air to drive the cylinder to operate the valve opening and closing.
Hydraulic floating ball valve: powered by a hydraulic system, suitable for situations requiring significant driving force.
It should be noted that floating ball valves are generally used in medium and low pressure applications due to their structural characteristics. For high-pressure and large-diameter application scenarios, fixed ball valves are usually chosen because their design can better handle the load problems caused by high pressure. In addition, there are some special floating ball valve designs, such as anti-static design, fireproof design, etc., which are designed to meet the safety requirements of specific industries or application environments.
