ybzhanCorporate NewsWhat types of throttling devices are included?

The throttling device belongs to the differential pressure flowmeter and is one of its major categories. An example of a throttling device used for commercial purposes is the use of orifice plates in 1900 to measure natural gas flow in the United States. In the next 100 years, various throttling devices appeared, such as wedge-shaped flow meters. Next, we will introduce commonly used energy-saving devices, which can be classified by whether they are standard energy-saving devices.

Firstly, introduce the standard throttling device and briefly introduce the following two types.

Standard nozzle: According to or national standards, the nominal diameter is 50-1000 mm, but in practice, even if it exceeds 1000 mm, the standard is still used for those exceeding 1000mm. And it is an energy-saving device that is widely used and has many specifications. For high-temperature and high-pressure fluids, standard orifice plates are preferred and widely used in the chemical and petrochemical industries.

Classic Venturi tube: Due to its high standardization, stable performance, long service life, and low pressure loss, it has low pressure loss in standard regulators and can be used to measure the flow rate of single-phase stable fluids in closed pipelines. It can also measure the flow of natural gas, natural gas, water, and other fluids. The standard throttling device requires short upstream and downstream straight pipe sections, small long-term pressure loss, stable performance, and easy maintenance. Accurate calculations and low energy consumption make it widely used in the petroleum, chemical, power, and metallurgical industries.

Since the standard throttling device has been introduced, let's talk about some non-standard throttling devices.

V-cone flowmeter: a new type of regulator that combines the measurement principle of the Venturi tube with the advantages of the classic Venturi tube, annular hole, and wear-resistant hole. Widely used for measuring fluid flow in industries such as cities, electricity, chemicals, petrochemicals, metallurgy, and food processing, almost applicable to all gas and liquid media.

Wedge Flow meter

Wedge flowmeter: The detection component is a "wedge block" with an arched or circular small flow cross-section. The significant advantages of this product are its powerful anti blocking protection and reliable operation. Long term precise measurement of urban gas and natural gas using wedge-shaped flow meters has been disrupted by coking, refining, chemical, and other enterprises.

The wedge-shaped flowmeter overcomes the flow measurement difficulties in various high viscosity liquid media such as tar, asphalt, residual oil, paraffin oil, and easily crystallized naphthalene oil. Chemical precipitation or crystal supersaturation have strong corrosiveness and temperature changes. The flow rates of acid, alkali, and salt solutions are widely used.
