Siemens' new 1LE1 series low-voltage motor
Siemens Automation&Drive Group (A&D) has developed a new series of aluminum shell IEC low-voltage motors. The new 1LE1 series motor includes two efficiency models, EFF1 and EFF2. The energy-saving EFF1 motor uses copper rotors to achieve high efficiency. Therefore, this motor structure is very compact, especially suitable for pump and fan applications.
The power range of the all-new aluminum shell 1LE1 motor series is 750W to 18.5kW, with a frame specification of 100 to 160. This series of high-efficiency EFF1 motors is equipped with copper rotors, which can achieve high energy efficiency. Compared to conventional motors, power loss is reduced by up to 40%.
Due to the use of copper rotors, the high-efficiency EFF1 motor has a very compact structure, and the housing size is consistent with the EFF2 type of the same specification. Therefore, in the future, a high-efficiency motor can be retrofitted without changing the machine design.
