9010 is designed as a universal calibration tool for electrical calibration laboratories, covering most calibration tasks such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, clamp meters, ohmmeters, power meters, power analyzers, energy meters, sensors, insulation testers, process meters, and others. Having high load capacity, the voltage output (up to 50mA load) can serve as an ideal standard source for calibrating high loss instruments such as pointer type mechanical meters.

The built-in harmonic and non harmonic signals can be used to measure the sensitivity of the instrument, which generates signal distortion through a signal with a variable crest factor.

The 9010 is developed from the previous M14x series calibrator, which adds the ability to calibrate 400MHz oscilloscopes, 1.5kV insulation testers, and 1MW power meters.
