Introduction to PID measurement of volatile organic compounds (VOCs);

PID (photoionization detector) can detect volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and other toxic gases at extremely low concentrations (0-1000ppm). The PID detector ionizes organic matter through ultraviolet radiation, and measures the concentration of gas by detecting the ionized charge and converting it into current.

The substances detectable by PID include:; Alkanes, alkenes, benzene ring compounds, organic compounds such as ketones, aldehydes, hydrocarbons, and alcohols, and inorganic gases such as ammonia. For example, gasoline, diesel, kerosene, aviation gasoline (JP-8), benzene, toluene, xylene, styrene, acetaldehyde, ethanol, ethylene, ethane, naphtha, turpentine, MEK, and ammonia;

M5 series volatile organic compound (VOC) detector can detect gases; CO2 (IR), H2S, CO, O2, SO2, PH3, NH3,NO2, HCN, Cl2, ClO2, O3, Wait.
