overview
CR310 is a versatile, compact, and low-cost measurement and control data collector that integrates Ethernet interfaces and detachable terminals. As an entry-level data collector, with its rich measurement instructions, it can measure hydrological, meteorological, environmental, and industrial sensors. The data it collects can be transmitted over the network through specified protocols and can be configured on-site or remotely. For small-scale applications that require long-term remote monitoring, CR310 is an ideal choice.
The biggest difference between CR300 and CR310 is that CR310 integrates detachable terminals and a 10/100 Ethernet interface.
CR310 has multiple radio models for different regions:
CR310-RF407: United States and Canada
CR310-RF412: Australia and New Zealand
CR310-RF422: Europe

Other compatibility information
Measure and control peripheral devices
CR310 is typically not used for measuring and controlling peripheral devices due to its limited number of control ports. It is also compatible with solid-state relays with low current and voltage.
CR310 is not compatible with SDM or CDM devices.
sensor
Due to multiple channel types, cr310 is compatible with almost all available sensors. This includes analog output voltage (0-2.5V) and current (0-20mA or 4-20mA) sensors, thermistors, RTDs, and so on. It is also compatible with pulse or frequency output sensors, such as anemometers, rain gauges, and flow meters. The cr310 data collector cannot be used with reverse excitation, nor can it be used with some conductivity or soil potential sensors.
SDI-12, Modbus, and other serial sensors all support RS-232 ports and C1 and C2 as TX/RX pairs. CR310 does not directly support RS-485 sensors.
communication
CR310 can communicate with PC through USB port. Compatible telemetry devices include our RS-485 converter, digital cellular gateway, RF telemetry, and satellite transmitter. The data can be viewed on iOS devices, Android devices, or CD295 Data View II displays. Using iOS or Android devices, go to the Apple Store or Google Play to download our free login mobile application.
software
The cr300 series is compatible with Crasic (version 3.6 or higher).
energy
CR310 uses an external power source and comes with a built-in charger/regulator. Select the highest voltage from three input sources (chg, bat, or USB) and operate in one of the following four modes:
UPS (recommended) -16-32 VDC power supply, solar panels (sp10, sp20), or power converters (29796) are used to charge 12 VDC batteries, such as our BP7 or BP12.
12V DC battery or other reliable 12V DC power supply
Only chg DC power supply (16-32 vdc)
USB - USB ports exceeding 5 VDC, used for installation, programming, and testing (will not charge the battery or increase USB power, providing 12 VDC for switching battery terminals)
Envelope
The CP 10/12 or CP 12/14 casing is sufficient for most CR 310 based systems.
