CSI 105E thermocouple sensor

105E is a commonly used shielded 24E thermocouple, suitable for measuring soil temperature and similar environmental temperatures. The thermocouple contacts are separated from the medium during measurement, thus avoiding measurement errors caused by the potential difference of the earth.

105E is usually buried in soil or other media during measurement, and the sensor should be placed horizontally deep in the soil layer to avoid heat conduction from the soil surface to the measurement point. Due to the excessive length of the cable, the sensor is susceptible to plowing or lightning strikes, so it is necessary to place the sensor cable in a wrapped conduit. 105E supports the vast majority of CSI data collectors (except for the CR200X series).
