Double depth shelving

Double depth shelvingAlso known as double deep shelving. It is a type of shelving that uses scissor type forklifts to design double row parallel storage. Its characteristics are high warehouse utilization, good selectivity, and the use of special forklifts. The aisle size is designed the same as APR, and it is widely used in the paper industry and plastic products industry.

The double depth shelving series is derived from heavy-duty crossbeam shelving, which has a simple structure and high storage capacity, effectively alleviating the storage requirements that ordinary crossbeam shelving cannot meet and doubling the inventory compared to ordinary crossbeam shelving. Double depth shelves are widely used in industries such as tobacco, food and beverage, and packaging. The specifications of such shelves can be appropriately changed according to customer needs.

Double Deep Pallet Racking

A derivative to the Selective pallet racking, the Double Deep system requires the use of a specialist reach truck or an attachment fitted to the reach truck. Whilst achieving increases in capacity of up to 30% above the former, only 50% of the pallets are immediately accessible.

This system however, provides an excellent method of increasing warehouse capacity or when alternative systems are not possible.
