Principle Description

Electrolytic micro water analysis detectorThe characteristic of using materials such as phosphorus pentoxide to absorb moisture and decompose into polar molecules, thereby accumulating charges on the electrode, when the analyzed sample gas enters the electrolytic cell, the moisture in the gas is coated on the surface of the probeP205 hygroscopic agent absorbs and is electrolyzed into hydrogen and oxygen by the direct current voltage applied to the probe electrode, and discharged with the sample gas.
The reaction process during measurement is as follows:P2O5+3H2O → 2 H3PO4Moisture absorption process
4H3PO4 → 2P2O5+6H2 ↑+3O2 ↑ Electrolytic process

During the electrolysis process, the sample gas generates an electrolysis current. According to Faraday's law of electrolysis and the gas state equation, the electrolysis current generated under certain temperature, pressure, and flow conditions is proportional to the water content in the gas. As long as the magnitude of the electrolysis current is measured, the water content of the gas can be determined.
